In 2001, Norma Braun, a co-worker at the Michigan Department of Corrections, asked me if I'd like to bring my kids to her house to see her 8 week old otterhound puppies. Little did my husband know that we would be embarking upon a journey of passion for this beloved breed.

Our first acquisition was Janora's Mighty Tonka. He was our otterhound angel that "hooked us" forever. Four months later Tonka's sister Taffey came to live with us. That's when the dog show bug hit us with a bang, and it's all history from there.

In 2004 Taffey became Ch. Janora's Taffey Apple, owner handled by me. Along the way we got involved with the Otterhound Club of America and met folks with the same love and passion for these magnificent animals.

We were truly blessed to get Barker and Dazzle from Scentasia Hounds. Our utmost appreciation goes to Betsy Conway and Donna Emery for entrusting us with their angels. In 2005 we got our 2nd AKC Champion, Ch. Scentasia's The Price Is Right aka Barker, he was just 11 months old and owner handled. He has since become a Canadian and a UKC Champion and has multiple group 1 wins, 2 UKC Best In Shows, and 2 UKC Reserve Best In Shows.

While in the UKC forum my daughter, wanted to show Barker in Junior Handlers. Her first show in blue jeans and she placed as Best Junior Handler. Another Lange generation hooked on otterhounds. In 2007 we were blessed again by Scentasia Hounds with a female puppy just for Karmen. Scentasia's Bedazzled in Diamonds aka Dazzle. She has received her Obedience 1 and Obedience 2 and her CGC, along with multiple puppy group 1's, and multiple AKC best junior handler awards.

Its been a fun ride and we look forward to many more years in this breed. We anticipate breeding in approximately 2010
