Beaker's Dozen - April 2022

We found ourselves in Birmingham, UK on our second trip to attend Crufts in March of 2022, helping to show and enjoying the company of other otterhound folk when we got the news that Beaker was confirmed in whelp to our Raphael! The ultrasound initially showed 6-7 puppies, but when the time came for x-rays, it was a whole different story...

"I've never been so wrong in my life," the vet told us when he lifted the imaging to show 13 little skeletons!!! 'Beakers Dozen' was born late in the night on April 08, 2022 and all were strong, healthy, and full of vim and vigor! This was the largest litter to date for OHeavens, nearly doubling the previous litters count much to our elated surprise, and Beaker was the epitome of what a mother should be in nurturing, cleaning, and raising this colossal litter! Not a single puppy was lost and all are now living across the US and Canada in incredible homes who love and appreciate them as much as we do!

This litter produced 1 AKC Grand Champion, 2 AKC Champions, 1 UKC Champion, 1 IABCA Champion, 2 AKC Multiple Best-in-Show Owner-Handler winners, 2 AKC Multiple Hound Group winners, and 1 Canine Good Citizen Advanced and Canine Good Citizen Urban title holder! Beaker has even gained the recent title of 'Grandmother' herself with 2 pups going on to produce litters within the last year and another hopeful litter of our own this Fall 2026!
